James M. Lamme III opened a law firm at 22 Elm Street, Great Barrington, in 1974. When Wendy T. Linscott joined the firm in 1980, it became known as Lamme and Linscott. For over 40 years, the firm has provided legal services to clients in central and southern Berkshire County.

The firm’s areas of practice include real estate (buying or selling, financing, land use, zoning, landlord-tenant), estate planning and administration (wills, trusts, probate), domestic relations, nonprofit and corporate law, and civil law (including personal injury and contract law).

Lamme and Linscott is a registered agent of Chicago Title Insurance Company, a member of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA), and is a member of the Probate and Real Estate Sections of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

The principals are admitted to practice law in all courts in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.
